Reggae Jammin’ Hot Dogs and Burgers

Chimichurri Avalanche Hot Dog:
  • 1 or 6-12 Reggae Jammin Hot Dogs
  • 6-12 Hot Dog Buns
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced and seared
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced and seared
  • 24 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 avocado, sliced or diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
Chimichurri ingredients
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 small Scotch Bonnet pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Classic Reggae Jammin Burger
  • 6 – 12 Reggae Jammin Burgers
  • 3 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 12 large lettuce leaves
  • 12 slices American cheese
  • Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Mayonnaise (optional)
  • Dill pickles (optional)
  • Tomato ketchup (optional)

Chimichurri Avalanche Hot Dog
  • Prepare Reggae Jammin Hot Dogs according to package instructions.
  • Place chimichurri ingredients in a blender and pulse to combine the ingredients until the consistency is like that of a coarse pickle. Any left overs of chimichurri can be stored in a sealed jar for up to a week in the refrigerator.
  • Heat olive oil on medium heat in a sauté pan and sear onions for a minute. Add the bell peppers and continue searing for another minute, stirring all the while so that they do not burn. Set aside.
  • Toast buns if desired.
  • Spread mayo on each side of each bun.
  • Place 2 slices of cheese in each bun.
  • Place hot dog on top of cheese.
  • Spread chimichurri thickly on top of hot dog.
  • Layer with seared bell peppers, onion slices and avocado.
Classic Reggae Jammin Burger
  • Prepare Reggae Jammin Hamburgers according to package instructions.
  • Toast bun on grill if desired
  • Optional: Slather mayonnaise and mustard on both buns
  • Place a mound of lettuce leaves on heel of bun.
  • Place hamburger on top of lettuce, add ketchup if desired, then a slice of cheese, a slice of tomato, another slice of cheese and pickles. Top with bun and enjoy.
